So I got a little excited yesterday about finally writing in my blog. I emailed all of my family and shared on Facebook to let everyone know...everyone but Clint. Want to know why? Here's our conversation we had when he got off work last night:
Me: So I started a blog today.
Clint: OK...for what?
Me: Um, to let everyone know what's going on with us.
Clint: Isn't that what Facebook is for? Why do you need to write everything twice?
Me: Well a blog is a little more detailed. See, this is why you were not included in the family email today.
Clint: Well that's fine, I already know what you do everyday. You don't really do much to be writing about. What are you going to talk about, dropping Sadie off at school and working out?
Me: No, I'm going to record all of our kids milestones, share my thoughts on anything and everything. A blog can be about whatever I want it to be. I'm not going to sit around and talk about the last time I took a piss. What's the purpose in life if we don't have anything to remember us by?
Clint: The purpose in life is to be saved and accept Christ in your life. You know that.
Me: You are impossible! I know that. That's not even what we are talking about! You know what my next blog is going to be? This. I'm going to blog this conversation. That's how it works.
Clint: Yeah I bet you will. I'm sure you will have plenty to say about me.
Me: Damn right.
Clint: Well you weren't very specific on what your blog was about. I get it, good for you.
That's my soul mate right there! Wouldn't trade him for the world, though we have absolutely nothing in common.
